After reading CH and the lessons on Nous, I'm still fuzzy on it's meaning. From what I've gathered so far Nous is divine intellect, but also light, imagination, and a faculty within us or, at least, one we can obtain that allows us to know God. I was reading on website that is was also the something similar to the Akashic Records, but that sounds really out in left field as I haven't come across anything remotely similar anywhere else. If we read the hermetic texts then it seems to imply that as Nous is Light and Life, it is the basic building block of all of creation, because as the hermetic scholar Wouter Hanegraaff says, everything is (created from) divine (loving) light.
Nous is also the Force from Star Wars. (LOL) That was my chuckle for the day. But, seriously, thank you for the clarification. Turns out I was clearer than I thought I was.
